Mavericks meritorious coach Nelson Sr. won the 2025 Chuck Daley Lifetime Achievement Award. Before the G2 game in the finals today, Nelson held a press conference, and the current Pacers coach Carlisle hosted the press conference.

Carlisle said: "If I could mention a few others here. Old Nelson's son Donnie Nelson is here too. I had the honor of working for Donnie in Dallas for 13 years. He has many outstanding draft results, especially when he selected Luca Doncic and Jaylen Brunson in the same draft."
