Horford talks about Warriors’ home debut: We’re lucky to experience this kind of game and we’re “fighting for our lives.”

In the NBA regular season, the Warriors defeated the Nuggets 137-131 in overtime at home today. After the game, Warriors new aid Horford was interviewed, and Xiaoba compiled some of his remarks.
Q: You have talked many times before. You chose to join this team and this position because you knew you would have the opportunity to play in this special game. And you've played against them before. When you're in it - seeing Curry play like that, Butler play like that, and you're knocking down threes or scoring - is there a sense of, "Yeah, this is why I'm here, this is why I chose this team."
Horford: Yeah. I'm lucky to be able to play in this environment and experience these moments. We know we still have a long way to go, but it’s really not easy for me to get here. Gordon was great tonight, they were playing their best game, but we still held on and pushed the game into overtime, and it’s really special to be a part of a game like this.
Q: This is your first official home game as a Warriors player. What do you think of the atmosphere here? Especially that energy in regulation and overtime?
Horford: Great. The fans are really into it and the whole home atmosphere is really fun. Different players on the team contribute on the field. Curry's shots and Butler's three-pointer at the top of the arc were also a particularly critical offense. But overall, everyone is trying to contribute their part, and I am really happy to be a part of it.
Q: You have never practiced together for that "big lineup" at the end of overtime. How are you able to work together so well?
Horford: At that time, we were almost "fighting for our lives." We defended desperately and tried our best to prevent our opponents from scoring. We were exploring and adjusting according to the game situation. On the offensive end, we relied more on a dream-chasing organization. I just tried my best to make some moves on the court that affected the game. But the most important thing for us is to win with this roster - even if we've never played together before. That's what we believe in. Defensively, we knew exactly what we wanted to do; offensively, we worked hard to maintain space, create good shooting opportunities, and not turn the ball over. Yes, that's it.
In this game, Horford played 29 minutes as a substitute, scoring 13 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal and 1 block, with a plus-minus of +6. He scored 5 of 8 (3 of 4 three-pointers).
