Today, the Suns officially announced that Martin Cleveland serves as the team's assistant coach, responsible for player development and leadership development.

Martin Cleveland was born in 1977 and was selected by the Pistons with the 14th overall pick in 2000. He has played for the Pistons, Kings, Cavaliers and Supersonics in his career.

On March 14, 2010, Cleveland joined Fox Sports Detroit Channel as a commentator on the Pistons event. In 2019, Cleveland worked with current Suns boss Matt Ishbiya to join United Wholesale Mortgage as a leadership development coach. Promoted to leader of the leadership development team in 2021.
