Teague: I signed with the Timberwolves purely for money. When I was in the league, it was a place to die.

Recently, former NBA player Teague revealed on his show that he signed with the Timberwolves just for money.
He said: "I didn't want to go to Minnesota. When I was playing in the league, Minnesota was a place to die. I went there purely for the money. I cried. I really wanted to stay with the Pacers. But Thibodeau called the morning before the free market opened and said: 'We will give you three years and six years. 3 million contract. 'My choices at that time were the Kings, Jazz, Timberwolves or Pacers - they were all bad options. I just wanted to stay in Indiana. But my agent said: 'The Pacers will only lower the price.'"
My agent said at the time, 'Okay, let's sign the Timberwolves. ’ I said, ‘Damn, we’re not signing it. ’ He replied, ‘I’ve never seen anyone unhappy with $57 million. ’”
In 2017, Teague signed a three-year, 57 million contract with the Timberwolves.
