Barcelona's La Masia youth academy always has some new stars emerging. "Daily Sports" introduced David Moreno, a U14 player who plays in the youth academy of the Red and Blue Legion.

David Moreno is one of the most promising players in Barcelona’s youth academy. Last season, he became the most dazzling and eye-catching player in all Barcelona's eleven-a-side teams. The left-footed midfielder will turn 14 years old on January 25 next year. After joining from Levante in the 2023-24 season, he has spent two brilliant seasons in the Barcelona youth training camp.

David Moreno is known for his excellent left foot skills. Although he played in the right midfield position last season, he scored 28 goals and provided multiple assists. However, those numbers don't fully reflect his performance on the field. Moreno has the passing ability of a top winger, the passing ability of a top midfielder and the shooting skills of a top forward. His technical qualities are outstanding, but what's most impressive is his ability to make the right decisions on the field. In addition, his personality is also a highlight. He can always step forward when the team needs it and show a strong personality.

David Moreno once met Ronaldinho at a Nike commercial event. This was one of his few happy moments at the beginning of the season. After nearly two months of playing, he has yet to feature for the U14 team coached by Adria Monras due to physical development issues. While he didn't suffer any serious injuries, growth issues prevented him from competing. This discomfort is common in early adolescence and affects players' normal training and competition.

Due to psoas muscle inflammation caused by growth, David Moreno has not been able to play for his team until now. Currently, Gerard Mateo and Agus Masset temporarily occupy the "No. 8" position played by Moreno in almost every game last season.

This Saturday, David Moreno may return in the Barcelona U14 (former Junior A team) game against Atletico Lleida. Adria Monlas' side are currently second in the league with 15 points, just one point behind Espanyol.
