In an interview with The Athletic, Jonathan David stated that he is willing to play any position for the Canadian team.

Regarding the Canadian team's recent scoring difficulties, David said: "The key lies in the last pass. The last game was difficult, but we still created some opportunities. We have some potential opportunities. If we can make the last pass well, it may be converted into goals."

David has played forward, right winger, No. 10, and second forward in the Canadian team. When asked which position he would rather play for the Canadian team, David said: "Anywhere will work."

David continued: "I have to believe in the process, continue to do what I have been doing, practice after training, and make sure that I go all out for every shot. We are a team that can always create opportunities. Look at us (0-1 friendly match in Australia on October 11).
