Le Parisian: A 17-year-old boy arrested for attempting to steal Kurzawa s residence
According to French media Le Parisien, French international Kurzawa's residence in La Seller Saint-Clou, Eveline, became a target of thieves from Sunday night to early Monday morning.
One of the 17-year-old thieves was arrested on the spot. According to his confession, the student had no police plan before and was recruited by a mysterious employer through social media. The incident began around 3:10 a.m. that day, when Kurzawa's cell phone received an alarm from its video surveillance system. The screen shows two strangers dressed in black and covered in faces moving around their residential area.
Kurzawa immediately called the police and the police patrol was quickly sent to the scene. Officers saw two suspicious figures damaging the glass sliding door of the residence. One of the suspects was arrested in the victim's garden. His accomplices successfully escaped into the nearby forest.
A source close to the case pointed out: "Traces of pressure were found on the door opening device, confirming that there was a clear attempt to break the door." Analysis of surveillance videos showed that the two thieves were driven by a man to the vicinity of the house.
The thief was taken to the Versailles police station and detained. During the interrogation, he initially downplayed his participation, explaining that he was just accompanying someone he didn't know well and had no real intention to commit theft. They chose the house randomly and didn't know who it belonged to.
However, as the interrogation deepens, the contradictions in its narrative reveal that he was sent by a more organized gang that manipulated through social media. The teenager has been released and received a subpoena from the minor court, according to an order from the Prosecutor's Office of Krethai.
Kurzawa is 32 years old and currently plays in Portuguese Super League Boa Vista. Kurzawa began his career in Monaco in 2010. In 2015, he joined Paris for a transfer fee of 23 million euros and signed a contract for five years. At the international level, Kurzawa has played for the French national team 13 times.
