Nedved: I chose to reach a plea agreement because I love Juventus, even though I am innocent
Former Juventus player and vice chairman Nedved revealed that his choice to reach a plea agreement in the investigation of Juventus' financial violations was "because I love Juventus and will continue to love."
Nedved, along with former chairman Agnelli and former sports director Paratic, received approval from trial judge Anna Maria Gavoney on Monday for the plea agreement. The survey examines Juventus' financial situation in depth to determine whether the club creates capital gains by inflating transfer fees to balance accounts.
When serving as a commentator at the Golden Ball Awards ceremony, Nedved said: "I chose to reach a plea agreement because I love Juventus. I am glad that this matter has finally come to an end. I admit that this period is very complicated and difficult. Although I am innocent, I accept the collective plea agreement. Because I love Juventus and will continue to love it."
"This feeling of injustice has prevented me from fighting as much as I am on the court. But I think I have given all my money for Juventus, both on and off the court. The past twenty years of my time at Juventus have filled me with joy and achieved full growth. Although the ending is not perfect, it is still a wonderful time and has left me with countless precious memories."
Nedved was sentenced to one year and two months of probation in this Juventus financial violation case.
