On Friday local time, Lyon officially announced the signing of Ruben Cruivet from Portuguese Super League team Casapia.

Lyon official said that the 24-year-old Dutch central defender Ruben Cruivet officially joined from Casapia and he signed with the club until June 30, 2030.

His transfer fee is 3.78 million euros, plus a bonus clause of up to 650,000 euros, Casapia will also receive a 15% share of the player's future resale income.

Ruben Kruyvit is the third son of Dutch celebrity Kruyvit. He was born in Ajax youth training and started his career in the Netherlands. He joined Casapia in the summer of 2024, and made 24 appearances last season to contribute 1 goal and 1 assist.

After playing the first official game for Lyon, Ruben Cruivette will become the fourth Dutch player in the club's history.
