The Daily Mail reported that Greenwood returned to Manchester in the offseason and trained with Maynu and James Garner, who were from Manchester United's youth training, to maintain his form.

Last summer, the striker moved to Marseille from Manchester United for a £27m base transfer fee + £3.2m surcharge, ending his 17-year relationship with the Red Devils.
