According to reporter Florian Plettenberg, Leipzig is actively seeking to sign Hertha Berlin's 16-year-old Kennet Eichhorn.

Eichhorn plays the role of defensive midfielder on the court. His contract contains a release clause, which will take effect from this summer. Depending on the country, league and club, Eichhorn's release clause ranges from 10 million to 12 million euros.

In the game against Kaiserslautern, Leipzig director Schaefer inspected Eichhorn's performance on-site, and Bayern and Dortmund also sent representatives.
