Votsk: The Club World Cup prize is very high but it has to be divided into four parts. The Club World Cup is once every four years.
Dortmund general manager Votsk talked about the huge appeal of the Club World Cup. In addition to the significant improvement in sports reputation, the new Club World Cup also brought generous bonuses.
A total of 32 teams from FIFA's intercontinental federations will participate in the event held in the United States, with a total prize of up to US$1 billion (approximately 876 million euros), and the champion team can receive a maximum prize of US$125 million (approximately 110 million euros).
Before heading to the United States, Votsk expressed his opinion on the huge economic incentives brought by the club's World Cup: "The amount of bonuses is indeed high, but it needs to be divided into four parts. After all, the Champions League is held every year, and the Club World Cup is held every four years. In addition, more formal games mean that players can get higher bonuses, and there are high travel costs."
Overall, the Club World Cup will be held in 12 stadiums, with a total of 63 games. From a sports perspective, Votsk believes that the new big event is very attractive, especially because the teams include top clubs in Europe and South America: "Just like in the Champions League, we want to pass the group stage first, then advance to the quarter-finals from the quarter-finals, and so on. But we can't just think that European teams will pose a threat to us."
Votsk also pointed out that the current Champions League champion Paris Saint-Germain is the biggest favorite in the Club World Cup. He called Paris Saint-Germain "a top team, they are ready to go all out."
