Ayton attended the Lakers Media Day event and was asked in an interview what would happen if he faced a championship-level team like the Thunder and the Nuggets.

"I'm ready to play any role the team lets me play, whether it's rebounding, protecting the basket, or covering, or all of the above. It doesn't matter, I'm just ready to play every game to compete. I won't take this opportunity for granted," Ayton said.
