Recently, Celtic player Derek White talked about his role in the new season when participating in the podcast "White Noise Podcast".

White said: "As for my role, I don't know what every game will look like. I don't want to set a fixed pattern for myself, like, 'Oh, I have to do this.' Or, 'Oh, Tatum is missing, then I have to do it.' I don't want to put myself in that mentality. Obviously, I've been training hard and trying to find ways to improve. But if I limit myself to that mentality, I might put too much pressure on myself or do something that doesn't belong to me."

"So I have to stick to myself and keep doing what makes me successful. I don't know what my role will be, whatever it is, my goal is to compete and help the team win as many games as possible. I'm really excited because we have a lot of talent and a great coaching staff. So it's going to be a really fun season."
