According to French media RMC, after the U17 World Cup match between France U17 and Colombia U17, the two sides had a fierce conflict.

In the U17 World Cup 1/16 finals last night, the French U17 team defeated the Colombian U17 team 2-0 and successfully advanced to the top 16. However, the two teams clashed after the game. RMC revealed that a French player provoked a Colombian player after winning and was chased by his opponent, which later triggered a larger-scale melee between the two sides. Parents and relatives of French players in the stands, as well as at least one agent, also entered the stadium to participate in the conflict, while security personnel tried to control everyone.

Later, the captain of the Colombian U17 team was sent off with a red card, but it is unclear whether any French players were noticed by the referee in this conflict and whether they may face additional penalties. FIFA was unwilling to release footage of the conflict. While waiting for further results, the French U17 team is also preparing for the 1/8 finals against the Brazilian U17 team next Tuesday.
