Arsenal central defender Saliba was interviewed by Sky Sports and talked about topics such as his football idol, his performance in the striker and midfield position, and his life in the UK.

Who was your football idol growing up?

"Messi and Etoo, (Host: Not a central defender?) When you were a child, you didn't pay attention to the central defender, you only looked at the forwards and wingers. I think Etoo is a bit underestimated. To me, he is the greatest African player. Not only do I think so, he is also a legend for everyone."

Have you played in other positions?

"Of course, I used to be a forward and midfielder, and I started playing as a central defender at the age of 14. How did I perform in the frontcourt? I am a good forward and scored goals. Which French dish do you miss the most in life in the UK?

"To be honest, the food here is also good, but French cuisine is another level, the quality is completely different. Can you understand? The bread you eat in France will make you cry because it is so delicious. But here, the bread is not like bread at all, and French cuisine is much better than the one here. We will dip bread in hot chocolate, which I know sounds a bit strange, but you will know if you taste it. I see someone here with pancakes with eggs and honey, which I have never seen in my life. Who is the hardest striker you have ever encountered?

"Mbappe, he is proficient in everything, can pass you and dribble the ball." Outside the court, what do you like about Gabriel?

"He is like a child, very caring. Yes, he is a childish person and he is very happy to be friends with him."

Who is the best central defender in history? Not limited to Premier League...

"Ramos and Maldini, to be honest, I didn't watch Maldini play football, but I often watch Ramos, so I think it's better to be Ramos. He may not get enough praise in England, but he is a very comprehensive player, really outstanding. He can be ranked first or second. He is a natural leader, has won countless trophies and has won the Champions League many times. What do you like to do on your rest day in London?

"Usually, I stay at home and play PlayStation."

What games are you playing now?

"FIFA, are you having fun? You'll know if you ask my teammates. I beat everyone and they called me 'king'. I know you may not believe it, but I swear it's true. Do you want to fight me? How about one-on-one?"
