According to the "Team News", the Nantair Procuratorate requested a rape trial on Ashraf. The pretrial judge must now decide whether to make a non-prosecution ruling that is beneficial to the player or to transfer him to the provincial criminal court for trial.

Prosecutor Lolic believes there is "sufficient evidence" to show that the player "performed the alleged act." Specifically, in the case of disagreement, Amelli (pseudonym) was subjected to finger intrusion. The woman went to his residence at 1:15 am from February 24 to 25, 2023.

Under pressure from extensive media coverage, after repeated urging by investigators, Amelli finally decided to file a lawsuit and accept inquiries. The investigation lasted for two years, and the police heard testimony from relatives and friends of the accused party and Ashraf's staff, including his direct collaborator, ex-wife, and Mbappe, who had a very good relationship with him.

Ashraf himself has denied the allegations, calling them lies and blackmail. But the procuratorate believes that Amelie has never tried to plan any possible blackmail. The procuratorate also believes that the young woman's narrative of unconsensual accusations was consistent with the text messages sent by the accuser to a friend at the time, which proved the obvious and sudden change in the victim's mentality.

This was strongly questioned by Ashraf's defense, who believed that the accused had always claimed that the kiss was agreed, and the procuratorate also acknowledged it.

The prosecutor also added two other evidence they believed constituted the allegation: one was that Ashraf had attempted to have sex with another young woman, Safia (pseudonym), earlier that night, but failed, and the situation was very similar to that described by Amelie; the other was Mbappe's testimony, whom Ashraf told him privately: "They touched each other's private parts, but he did not feel the young woman's rejection at any time."
