He said that although Doncic was unexpectedly trading to the Lakers, he had almost escaped the psychological impact of the deal.

Doncic is currently preparing for the European Championship through strict diet and training plans. He will spend some time in Europe preparing for revenge next season.

After being traded to the Lakers last season, Doncic played 28 regular season games, averaging 28.2 points, 8.1 rebounds, 7.5 assists and 1.6 steals per game, playing in 5 playoffs, averaging 30.2 points, 7 rebounds, 5.8 assists and 1 steal per game, with a real shooting percentage of 60.8%.

Doncic is also the fourth player in the history of the Lakers to average 30+5+5 in a single-round series, comparable to Magic, Kobe and Jerry West.
