Former Serbian international Milovanovic died in the center of the veterans match at the age of 41
According to Serbian authoritative sports media Sportklub, former Serbian international midfielder Dejon Milovanovic died of cardiac arrest in a friendly match of retired stars on Tuesday at the age of 41.
In the veteran match that represented the parent team Red Star Belgrade, Dejan Milovanovic, who had played twice for the Serbian national team, suddenly fell to the ground a few minutes after the goal. Although first responders rushed to the scene quickly, they failed to save his life.
Milovanovic is a cousin of the famous defender Branislav Ivanovic. He once played for Lens, first winning the Ligue 2 championship with the team, and then conquered Ligue 1 with the 11th place in the league.
Luns Club posted a message through its official Twitter account to commemorate: "Luns Club learned with a deep heart that Dejan Milovanovic suddenly passed away this Tuesday at the age of 41. The Serbian midfielder who wore Luns' jersey from 2008 to 2010 has played for Luns 47 times."
